If Whedon gets on board along with most of the original cast, then maybe... why not? But the years go by and sometimes what once worked well may not come out as great years later.
If it's a restart, remake, reboot, reanything, with a different cast and no Whedon then please don't. I just wish this "re" trend goes away soon.
That might work, but I don't know... the main characters and their interactions were a huge part of what made it a great show, I don't find that world very different from countless other sci-fi worlds and, unless they could come up with an interesting new set of characters, it might end up generic and uninteresting.
If, and that's a huge if, Firefly will get picked up again in any shape or form, keep it as far away from Fox as possible please! What they did to the show is an abomination and I empathize with Joss over how things were handled back then. This is not for any broadcast network to get their hands on anymore, I say leave it up to cable networks like starz or AMC, hell even Syfy to be in on the bid. Netflix I'm sure would do a fine job too, they've done nothing but put out quality stuff lately.
How about "no"? I love Firefly as much as the next Browncoat but I don't want to see anyone playing these parts. The cast is very much a part of the appeal and what makes it great.
Instead, tell us about something else in the 'Verse. Tell us about how Niska rose to be a kingpin or about The Operative or whatever. Maybe even a prquel about a younger Book. Anything, just don't reboot it.

"Serenity" was the series wrap up we got and it was great!

How about a series set in the same world with guest appearances from the original cast.

Probably, but I'm just thinking about Serenity unless it's not canon.

Especially since, if it was set after the movie, Wash and Book would be gone... Also Ron Glass is gone anyway...
Plus these days Mal would be in love with Jayne, and Kaylee and Inara would be married...
Just leave well enough alone.
