I loved Gidget back in the day (yes I'm that old). I'm watching a Gidget marathon on 'Antenna TV' right now.
The episode (#26) that's on right now is about a friend of Gidget's getting a new car. The parents are played by Paul Lynde & Jeff Donnell (who played Gidget's (Deborah Walley) mother in the movie 'Gidget Goes Hawaiian 1961'). A bit weird but most people probably didn't notice?
