Honestly, I only like the first two seasons. Michael Tylo just made this show and it was not the same after he left. I hate that he was killed off like that.

I know what happened to the Alcalde, but is there some other reason the actor left?

You mean the reason why Michael Tylo left? I believe it's because they filmed in Spain and he did not like being away from his family.

It's a shame they couldn't work around that. As I recall the whole series was filmed in Spain, so how did the other actors cope?

Efrem Zimbalist Jr., who originally played Don Alejandro, also left the show because he didn't like living in Spain. I guess some were able to cope with it and others weren't. It might've been the same for the crew.

I think he had a hard time being in Spain all that time and that's why he left.
That said, I really liked how the last season was going. It's a shame the show got cancelled right when it was getting really good.
