Ginger gets a letter from her dad and decides to invite him to the arts fare at her school to hear her new poem. But the question remains... Will he show up? Meanwhile, Carl gets a dehydrated killer sea snake in the mail and Ginger's mom accidentally drinks it.

Courtney decides to go to Camp Caprice for the summer along with Ginger and her friends. Will the spoiled rich girl get used to roughing it or ruin Ginger's chances with a boy named Sasha she meets there?

Meanwhile, Carl and Hoodsey plot to stay at home during the summer to catch a dog thief by starting a vampire dog cleaning service while Darren and Miranda are sent to a military camp.

Darren gets his braces removed and suddenly becomes attractive to every girl at school. Will Miranda ruin his friendship with Ginger when she becomes his girlfriend? Meanwhile, Brandon's monkey, Mr. Licorice, is missing and Carl and Hoodsey go looking for him.

When Ginger enters a writing competition and writes a story called "And She Was Gone", it causes Ms. Zorski to think Ginger might be suicidal. Can she convince her teacher and the school psycologist that it was just a work of fiction?

Meanwhile, Carl and Hoodsey try to make a student, Noelle Sussman, disappear with vanishing cream. When they succeed after they discover she might be the perfect girl for them, can they bring her back?

With Lois's wedding to Dr. Dave nearing, Mrs. Dave and a 'network of silver-haired villains' set out to sabotage the festivities.

Ginger, worried about her new course load in high school, ends up getting addicted to the "Mocha Locha Frothinator." Carl tries to walk the straight and narrow path, and is tricked into thinking he has an incurable disease.

Ginger and Darren break up, and what Ginger thinks is total heartbreak ends up being a burst appendix and she's rushed to the hospital. Carl looks up to Dr. Dave as his real father after he saves Ginger's life.
