I know the show was originally canceled by AMC back when, but now that the second season is getting its full release in the USA, should the series be considered "ended" instead?

Was the ending planned in advance (i.e. the show was meant to end with the second season)?

I would say it was planned.

  • it was a 2 season order from the start
  • the second season was already done when it was canceled
  • the ending of the second season is not abrupt (if anything its pretty obvious it's meant to be the definitive ending)

I guess they may have been able to change the ending of season 2 after the whole canceled and then saved by Amazon Aus. But I would still consider that an "ended" and not "canceled" bc the ending is still obviously planned.
