At the moment the series on here is listed as : Season / Chapter 1 : 40 Episodes Season / Chapter 2 : 15 Episodes Season / Chapter 3 : 7 Episodes
This is completely wrong however you look at it. I think someone has tried to be helpful and ended up being the opposite. These episodes are shown as double episodes so either need to be listed on tmdb as "episode n (part a , part b)" or split up into individual episodes. If we look elsewhere on the site as to how to handle this, I think Paw Patrol is a good example as they are also aired as double episodes/segments but listed on here as single episodes - I think this approach makes the most sense as it is the easiest to understand if you use the info from tmdb.
I can see the argument for listing it as episode n (part a , part b) as this is how netflix shows it (I think it makes finding the info on each episode more confusing, but some people would say the same about listing the episodes individually).
Listing the episodes individually gets us the following : Season / Chapter 1 : 23 Episodes Season / Chapter 2 : 1 Episode Season / Chapter 3 : 14 Episodes (so far)
Listing the episodes as "episode n (part a , part b)" gets us the following : Season / Chapter 1 : 12 Episodes Season / Chapter 2 : 1 Episode Season / Chapter 3 : 7 Episodes (so far)
So whichever of the 2 methods chosen you can see that the way it is currently (listing 40 episodes in the first season and 15 in the second), is absolutely wrong.
From a consistency point of view for the tmdb website it should be listed as individual episodes (i.e 23 episodes in the first season) if it is listed as "episode n (part a , part b)" (12 episodes in the first season) there are several hundred other TV shows that we need to be changed / edited to follow this new method.

Yep you are indeed correct. These should be listed with each episode separately, except for the first one being double-length, as it is a single segment and story.
There's actually a specific rule for cartoons like this in the TV bible (though I missed it at first too, thinking they were "double episodes"):
And confirmed by a mod in this discussion about Animaniacs.
The user here made these changes, which could simply be rolled back since episodes 13-23 are still intact as they should be (just duplicated in doubled episodes 2-12). And then episodes 24+ deleted because they are all duplicates, with chinese or japanese title cards (no idea who added those or why, makes 0 sense). But mods don't seem to be noticing these for this show, so I'll probably just fix the double eps myself soon, so at least metadata queries for those ones will be correct.

The segmentation has been restored and the extra episodes have been removed.
