Daphne rejects Sams's advice and returns to Cheltenham to find wisdom from a more reliable source.

Much to Daphne's delight, Sam has packed up taxidermy, but to her disgust has taken up with Rhonda, their next-door neighbour. Angie is becoming successful as a model and Nick is pursuing a career as a photo-journalist.

Sam's friendship with Rhonda is growing and Nick is determined to continue photographing the family for his article. In the meantime Daphne is playing emotional games.
