I wrote about the change of TVDb here in May, but I'm not sure we mean the same issue:

It looks like TVDb still uses ID's for tv episodes, but not for seasons and shows anymore. However, you can still find the show ID on the main page, first line of the data. But the season ID seems to be gone forever ...

Is that what you meant to report?
