The Amazingly Bearded Man fights Flesh Bats off his space ship. Ava and Gage pick up a mysterious stranger on their way to the cyber-punk city of Shade.

A visit to Gage's ex-girlfriend Liz to recover the Amazing Bearded Man's lost memories takes a bad turn when Liz's new boyfriend turns out to be more Gage expected.

A lethal space battle rages above (and below) the streets of Shade between the Shadow States and the Consortium. The Amazingly Bearded Man joins the fight but threatens to kill the entire population of Shade.
