Item: mono
Language: ja-JP
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: The Art Direction (美術監督) and Designer (美術設定) credits in this entry have been adjusted to Production Design and Art Direction (respectively)? Everywhere else:
I don't think these changes are correct. I was going to change it, but I noticed a mod has done this so I think it's better to ask than just change without asking.
Has there been info given somewhere that I've missed? I've been transcribing the credits myself (not relying on any other database) and following their twitter posts and haven't seen anything about it here.

I changed them back since we've always translated 美術監督 and 美術設定 here with Art Direction and Art Designer, respectively, on anime content. I think I've read on here before that 美術監督 is usually just translated as "Production Designer" when we're talking about Japanese live-action content, is that correct?

Yes, I've always understood that the Production Designer credit is for live-action content and since that's the top art department job (above art director), I would associate it with 美術監修 (bijutsu kanshuu) (for animation I think "Supervising Art Director" is a better choice). I've never worked in the industry, so I can't say it with certainty, but it makes more sense to the Japanese words used here. Edit: It also depends if both credits are used simultaneously or just one. From a quick web search, when 美術監督 or 美術 is given alone for live-action content, it does appear that it's generally translated as Production Designer as you said.
