In the second episode of THE RACE Behind-the-Scenes, all the candidates are introduced. We get to know them and their stories, and discover what motivated them to take part in THE RACE. Shortly before departure, the team receives a message from a participant that turns everything upside down.

The tension is mounting! The participants are meeting each other for the first time and are heading to Paris together. The last 24 hours until THE RACE Season 2 is suspended are packed with safety briefings, hero shots, interviews, and final preparations for the suspension.

THE RACE season 2 begins! The five participants embark on an exciting journey in Paris that they never expected. The most important change: they don't know their destination. To find out where their journey will take them, the participants have to puzzle their way through the urban jungle of Paris. How will the participants fare and who will be the first to find out their destination?

Each of the contestants struggles with the puzzle in Paris to be the first to discover the destination for THE RACE season 2 and gain a valuable head start. They rattle off location after location, but one of the four riddles brings some of the contestants to the brink of despair. When the participants finally find out where the journey is taking them, they are left speechless.

The riddle has been solved and the destination of THE RACE season 2 has been set. 3,500km now separate the candidates from the coveted finish buzzer in Turkey. The first plans are being made, rides are being sought and meters are being measured. The plan is clear: get out of Paris as quickly as possible. But things don't go according to plan for everyone - and cause the first serious crisis before the first night.

To find out where THE RACE Season 2 is headed, the contestants must solve a puzzle. But what do they need to consider when creating it, and what are the potential pitfalls? In the fifth episode of Behind the Scenes, we also find out why the team chose Paris as their starting point and what criteria are important for the destination country.

The first night awaits the candidates. While most of them are already asleep, one contestant fights for a place to sleep until late into the night. Who will cover the most kilometers the next day? Who will have luck on their side? And what happens if the previous day's tactics suddenly no longer work?

While Lézan continues to look for a way to get out of Paris, the other candidates fight for every single kilometer that brings them closer to their goal. They even take detours to get there. Will this pay off in the end? The second night is also just around the corner and once again requires creativity from all the candidates to find a safe place to sleep.

Day three of THE RACE season 2 begins and proves to be a tough test of patience for some participants. While some cross more national borders, others struggle with the harsh reality: hours of rejections, skeptical looks and euphoria that quickly turns to bitterness. Who remains positive and waits for that one important trip?

The participants of THE RACE are only as good as the people who help them. Participants battle their way toward the finish line on a variety of paths and meet people who would significantly change their journeys. So much so that their help even brings tears to their eyes. Furthermore, the fourth night is approaching, and suddenly, one participant is offered a very special place to sleep.

Day four of THE RACE and the mood of the participants could hardly be better in the morning. But the mood changes. One wrong decision can mean that you quickly fall behind and start to doubt everything.

The tough everyday life of THE RACE puts a strain on the nerves of the participants. Not knowing where the others are keeps everyone on their toes. While some experience success, others struggle with their mental health.

The participants are rapidly approaching the finish line of THE RACE. While most of them make their way from border to border in the traditional way, one participant finds a vehicle that nobody expected.

THE RACE is entering the hot phase. All participants use every possible opportunity to get to Turkey as quickly as possible. But some have something against it: there is an unexpected visit from the police.

THE RACE is in full swing and all participants are fighting for victory. The team is already at the finish line and awaits the first finish. But there is no relaxation. The trailer has to be turned off and one of the participants is giving the team a major headache. Shortly before the first finish, an accident leads to a visit to the emergency room and enormous stress.

After the first person has crossed the finish line, the remaining participants are informed by the team and react very differently to the news. Who will cross the finish line next?

The battle for 2nd and 3rd place is on. On the last kilometer, one participant not only almost loses his nerve, but also his backpack. Find out how it ends in episode 13.

In the seventh episode of THE RACE Behind-the-Scenes, there are exclusive insights into the first few hours at the finish line and the reactions of friends and family. The reactions of the remaining participants were varied and created new tension in the race for the remaining places. For one participant, THE RACE ended at this point.

The eighth episode of THE RACE Behind-the-Scenes shows the finish of all the remaining participants and their arrival back to normality. Everyone had the opportunity to call their loved ones. Back in Cologne, the group saw each other again for the first time and there was a lot to talk about.
