I just loved Laurie Metcalf as Jackie in this show. She and John Goodman made this show what it was. Roseanne was good too of course but I really disliked how bitchy she got in the last couple of seasons..........she was just plain mean at the end. I still love this show and rewatch it quite often but every time I get to the last couple seasons I can't help but think what happened to Roseanne's character............they spent the first few years portraying her as this fiercely loyal and protective mother and wife with an edgy sense of humor and then near the end she's just downright ignorant and rude to everyone.
