There seems to be a discrepancy between how TVDB and TMDB handle the various series within the Criminal Justice collection. On one hand, you could look at each release as seasons of Criminal Justice or on the other hand you could look at each release as individual shows with one season each. TMDB sees it as the latter and TVDB sees it as the former. I think it would be helpful to users of both sites to have a consistent view on this so I think it would be helpful to have a discussion on what approach is most suitable.
For reference, here is the show on TVDB: https://www.thetvdb.com/series/criminal-justice-ind#seasons

No it doesnt matter how TVDB lists anything. TVDB is a user contributed database and is not a reliable source for information for this site. They have a completely different set of rules for content than this site does. This site is separate to TVDB and does not need to be consistent with TVDB.
If you want to know how content on this site should be listed, I recommend reading the rules. Here are some links:
https://www.themoviedb.org/bible/new_content
https://www.themoviedb.org/bible/general
https://www.themoviedb.org/bible/tv
Generally speaking, tv shows should be listed the way they are listed on the original network's website.
Note that just because something on this site is listed a certain way does not mean it is correct or is abiding by the rules. If its incorrect, then ideally it should be fixed according to the rules- ideally with evidence available from a reliable source like the original network's website (not tvdb).

They were listed by Hotstar as separate series :
Consequently, they should be listed here as separate pageq.
