On a quiet night, a bank manager is murdered. Julie, a high-profile escort with roots in Kolkata’s red-light district, announces a school for sex workers’ children, through her NGO. Now the mistress of Sanjay Mitra—a politician caught in a corruption scandal involving cooperative banks—Julie watches his party unravel as CBI officers Soumik Sen and Joginder crack down. Among the arrested is Kalyan Basu, Soumik’s close associate. As investors pull out, Julie brokers a deal with cricket team owner Mohit Sidhwani. Her world shatters with the suicide of a young prostitute, Rinku.

Julie leads a protest against cop Probir Das after Sneho dies in custody and Rinku kills herself. The march goes viral, and Sanjay Mitra makes her a partner in Illumination Builders. Meanwhile, Sidhwani backs Mitra in exchange for election defeat. CBI officer Soumik suspects Julie’s involvement in the scam and prepares a crackdown on Illumination and her NGO. The murdered bank manager is found buried at an Illumination site. Soumik interrogates Mitra, but Julie bails him out. Upset with her father for his closeness with Julie, Reshmi, Mitra’s daughter, tips off Soumik. He gives Julie an ultimatum: betray Mitra or go down with him.

Julie’s past unveils her musical training under Hasnabai, where her voice captivates struggling composer Ritam, who promises her a playback opportunity. In the present, CBI officer Soumik forces the contract killers to confess Sanjay Mitra’s role in the bank manager’s murder. Sanjay is summoned by the Home Ministry, and Ronjon informs Reshmi that Sanjay is ready to give up his seat if Sidhwani can halt the probe. Instead of helping, Reshmi urges the Home Minister to let her contest. When Sanjay suffers a heart attack in custody, Julie learns of Soumik’s ties to Kalyan Basu. Atin urges her to replace Sanjay in the coming elections.

When Ritam’s producer refuses to let a prostitute sing for a top heroine, he confesses the truth to Julie. Crushed, she vows never to sing again. In the present, Reshmi tries to build youth support, while Sidhwani warns Julie to lose the election if she replaces Sanjay. Julie refuses to promise, angering him. Reshmi challenges Julie’s place in Sanjay’s life and takes him home. At the CBI office, Julie cleverly deflects Soumik’s interrogation by hinting at his ties to Kalyan Basu. She sabotages Reshmi’s campaign with planted drugs, impressing the Home Ministry, which backs Julie as Sanjay’s political successor.

During the song recording, Reshmi and Ritam recall the past—when Ritam, beaten and rejected, returned the producer’s money and Julie gave him her jewellery to start fresh in Mumbai. He promised to take her along but vanished the next day. Joginder, now with Reshmi, tracks down Kalyan’s son, Ankit. Julie opens up to Soumik and learns Kalyan raised him. Joginder warns Soumik about Julie. When Sidhwani pressures Julie to abandon the party, she refuses. That night, Julie and Soumik make love. Kalyan dies mysteriously in custody.

Ankit confronts Soumik, suspecting foul play in Kalyan’s death. Soumik is put under internal investigation for his ties to Julie and Kalyan, with officials hinting at Julie’s role in the murder. Shaken but determined, Soumik asks for time to uncover the truth. Joginder then presents a prison video where Kalyan tells Ankit that Julie promised to bail him out if he cooperated in the scam. Enraged, Soumik arrests Julie. Reshmi swiftly replaces her as the party’s candidate. Later, Julie receives a secret bedroom recording of Sanjay’s murder—proof that Reshmi was the real killer all along.
