I loved seeing the elephants! What a fun challenge to do! I was sad to see Rupert get eliminated.
Elephants are the BEST.
They are! This season is really enjoyable so far, but they usually are for me anyways. I'd love to see them on a twice a year schedule like Survivor.
Me too. I think what makes a great TAR season are the challenges. There was one season in which the challenges all pretty much sucked. It was not even visually appealing to see on TV. For example, there was a sidewalk puzzle that had bleached out colors, and I was like WTF? On top of that, the clues were a big clue. The show this season and last seemed to move away from the clues being brain teasers. Now, they are just going there and doing that or this, which is fine with me, because I want to see them DO the challenge.
When Tyler and Korey were like, "everyone we've met here in Uganda have been nice to us. You know, what the government thinks doesn't necesarily mean the people of Uganda think the same". I'm like gurl, pretty sure they do think the same. You'd find that out if you told them you're gay.

There is a movement in Uganda, led by Evangelicals from the US, to make homosexuality a capital offense. So I think you are right.

I don't think it's everyone. Heck, you can find people in the US who are anti-gay much like in Uganda.
I really like the challenges this season. They are so fun like the "find the chocolate shoe" "count the steps" and the "silent rave". There are others I just can't remember.

There was a documentary back in 2011 called The World's Worst Place to Be Gay set in Uganda. It was about how news/people of Uganda actively encouraged the hunting and murdering of gays in Uganda. And by encouraged, I mean people actually do go and find and kill them. At least in 2011. I doubt its changed that much. Im not saying the film was completely comprehensive look at Uganda's stance at homosexuality and that its not possible things have changed since then...but I don't think the comparison of anti-gay sentiments in the US with people cheering on and participating in the murders of gays in Uganda is fair at all.

EDIT: I do want them to up the anti a bit though. The challenges are fun, but I like being scared of the challenges and impressed when people are able to accomplish them. At the moment, the challenges just don't seem that... challenging. I want them to be a bit more extreme like Expedition Impossible's challenges were. Or even challenging in the mental aspect, more puzzle heavy clues/challenges.

Yes, I'm down for that. I just don't want them to revert back to making the clues the challenge. I remember about 4 seasons ago, it was really bad and a lot of time was lost on players not understanding the clues.

What is surprising to me is how poorly the Survivor teams have performed. I think only 1 is left?

Switzerland is good for a day or two. It's very picturesque and looks exactly like it does on TV, but it's quite boring.
