I invite you to read this previous content report.

Of course, I've read all the previous posts before I wrote mine. I invite you to read my post more carefully. Please distinguish between episode and season.

The previous content report was about adding episodes. My report is about adding seasons.

So now, please unlock it. I will add both seasons.

As indicated in the previous report, they are neither episodes nor seasons, but 2 independent movies.

This is not true. Please have a look into the link I gave you.

It is a misunderstanding to say there would be a "swedish original". The tv series is a swedish / german production. So you could say instead the german version would be the original.

TheTVDB is not an official source.

We only list elements as they were originally released.

The' fact that the creator of the German boxset split each of them in 4 parts and put them in the same box as the series doesn't transform these movies into 2 new seasons.

Did you know that the movie "Pippi Longstocking" (original German title: Pippi Langstrumpf) is re-edited footage from the TV series featuring a new soundtrack? Do you think we should delete https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/12097-pippi-l-ngstrump?language=en-US ???

The same for "Pippi Goes on Board". It was filmed in 1969 for a TV series and edited into a film in 1969. Want to delete the movie-entry as well?

"Pippi in the South Seas" went the opposite way. It was recorded as a movie. Later it has been cut into parts and aired as 2nd season in the tv series.

"Pippi Longstocking" and "Pippi Goes on Board" were 2 movies edited from footage of the original TV series. They got theatrical releases and are, as such, allowed in our database.

"Pippi in the South Seas" as well as "Pippi on the Run" were directly recorded as movies and, as such, are also allowed in the movies part of our database.

But, what you call 2nd and 3rd season here are just the last 2 movies recut in 4 episodes each. This is not allowed in our database.

Is there a possibility to meeting the needs of german users? You said "We only list elements as they were originally released." So please allow to list the additional seasons as they were originally released. The german one is the original as well (co production!).

Even if it is a coproduction, the original release took place as movies, so we list them as movies.

Is there a way for a compromise? And, btw., what do you mean by "our database"? Is it yours?

with co production I meant german / swedish co production.

It is not "mine", but I'm part of the team.

No, there are no way for a compromise. This was already indicated in the previous report.

That doesn't change the fact that the original release took place as movies.

Ok, thank you for your time. I won't bother you and your database anymore. Just do it alone and do it your way.

I'm new here and wanted to start by fixing the issue that in my view 8 officially released episodes have no equivalent in the TMDB. Before editing, I found this discussion from two years ago and consider it to be inadequate.

Even your season 1 poster says "all 21 episodes of the TV series" on the DVD cover (https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/original/joaX4Jg6YWkjZ5j7HEk6Kkw3YC6.jpg). The fact is, the series was released in German-speaking countries with 21 episodes right from the start (source: Wikipedia). Many of us grew up with these episodes, not the movie.

Ironically, if you want to maintain the view that the series only has 13 episodes, you would have to delete the picture and take the DVD box set off the market - or make a compromise possible.
