Good research Klondike. I noticed some subtle changes for season nine as well.
TCOT Golfer's Gambit from January 30, 1966, was the first episode with the change in Raymond Burr's hair style. More straightened out and parted on the left. , But in the opening credit sequence, his hair style remained the same for that episode and for the remainder of all season nine episode openings.
EXCEPT for the only episode filmed in color, TCOT The Twice Told Twist, from February 27, 1966. In the opening credit sequence for that episode, he sported the new hair style.
