Discuss Mission: Impossible

Not a bad episode, but I didn't think the whole UFO angle was totally necessary. Interesting how they dangle immortality in front of somebody and to see how they react. I believe they did that same thing in another episode as well. Or maybe it was just the whole anti-aging thing.

Hello everybody! I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving.

As for this episode, I really liked it. And as for the "UFO" angle, one of the ways the IMF has always used to get to the bad guys is to find out if they have an intense interest in a certain subject. Then, they use this knowledge to get close to the bad guy and accomplish their objective (I apologize if my sentences are a little longer than usual). Forrester's obsession was with UFO's and immortality.

My favorite scene was when Jim and Casey had to hide in the trunk of the car so Barney could drive them out of the estate unnoticed. You may ask, "Why is that your favorite part, Maria?" My answer? Remember how Barney would always had to hide in some kind of container so he could be smuggled into a building to work on the electronics (my favorite was the conference table in the season three episode The Play)? Well this time, someone else has to hide in the trunk of the car!

I'm trying to remember this one. Did the team dress in shiny, white Nehru suits? Or am I getting that confused with another show? Just about every serious crime drama had a token UFO episode. Even Miami Vice!!

Yes, it was the one with the shiny white outfits. But I didn't know that Miami Vice had a UFO episode. That must have been interesting. Can you tell me the plot of it please?

James Brown and Chris Rock together!

Now that's something I'd like to see!

@mel-boring wink One of the best things about this episode was when Barney was creating the "UFO landing lights", they had a shot of the colored lights look like they're coming out of Steve Forrest's right eye. It was a gorgeous special effect and camera work.

Has anyone else ever found it hard to believe that Steve Forrest and Dana Andrews were brothers?
