He can be VERY hit or miss. There will be times he has great matches, and other times he absolutely sucks. Sometimes that's true even with the same opponent.

Far as great matches go, the best match he's been involved in was probably that Wrestlemania triple threat with Daniel Bryan and Batista at Wrestlemania 30. In general, Orton seems to do well in multi man matches.

I can't really think of any classic singles matches he's had, but there have been some stand outs.

Honestly, I think he's one of the better wrestlers of his generation. Sure, he was pushed to the moon but the majority of his matches are logical and make sense. He's got an older school vibe to him.

Randy Orton vs Bret Hart is one of my "wishlist" matches.

I cannot stand him. He IS smooth in the ring, but he's sooooooo boring. There is something to be admired in a guy who knows the power of less is more, but the guys who are best at this kind of thing need more spark than Orton has. The fact that he had two of the absolute worst feuds of 2017 with Bray and Jinder is so funny to me. Granted both of those guys also had numerous other awful feuds with other people, but for Randy to have escaped the whole thing without blemish is testament to how he's had this long, decorated career. A name and a look will carry you awful far in this business.
