So what if they brought back Abbie or someone as good or better?
Remember. it might also be appealing to a different audience so it might not need the same elements as before.
The drop in viewership is mostly because of Nicole's departure. Please check social media. It would appear that Black female viewers tuned out in huge numbers in support of Beharie.
Abbie was a big deal to them as there are no Black female leads on a sci-fi show.
So, it would behoove whoever picks the show up to bring Nicole Beharie back.
Yeah, I'm quite aware of the gigantic support Beharie had (and still has) on the show, hence the amount of people expressing their happiness at the show's cancellation.
They could follow the same recipe as S1 and try to get Behaire or another actor to appeal to the same audience, although that would be hard since Nicole's treatment has left a bad taste in mouths.
But that original formula or the new formula made for S4 is what I am thinking of the show offering the new network.
Try to appeal to the audiences of Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, etc.
It's very rare a show get picked up by another network, and I don't think this is one of those rare shows.
and yeah, they basically killed the show by firing Nichole Beharie -- her character, Abbie Mills, was just as important as Tom Mison's character, Ichabod Crane.

It wouldn't work without Abbie. Plus the series would have to go back to its original format.
