I have watched who since 63 and loved it but now its all leftist pc and the white bashing is out of control we get it brown and black good, white bad. I can only hope the new showrunner will get back to telling great stories and fire all the leftists that are killing who with their agendas of pure racist hate of all white people.its not helpful and only breeds hate in all people.

As for historical accuracy: There were way more people of color in London of the late 18th early 19th century. Especially among the poorer population, which is the population we see in Thin Ice. The topic of the "black poor" was quite dominant at the time, when racist theories began spreading and white people started taking offense to the presence of black people. This led to deportation or "emigration" of people of color during the 19th century which prevented a growing number of British people of color for a few decades. I agree that there probably weren't as many black people by the definition we have today, but there certainly were a lot more people of color - mostly south an east Asian - than shown in nearly any other film or tv show set during that era.

So even if it's a bit too much in this episode, it still doesn't balance it out, does it?

Also, how does this have anything to do with political correctness or with left policies? Excuse me, but which world are you living in where showing people of color in a TV show is politically left? It's a TV show, mate, just a TV show. Chill! No one is trying to raise your taxes with this.

No one is saying that Britain wasn't a white country or whatever. But people here are saying that the US and Australia are white countries by pointing out that white people created these nations. Without mentioning, of course, that these nations are founded on millions of dead people of color. So what is that about?

And, just in case you're confused, me saying this is neither left nor politically correct, it's just stating historical facts.

I haven't watched Doctor Who since David Tennant left, he was my favourite Doctor, in fact I think he's most people's favourite. Doctor Who just hasn't been the same since. I did try watch Matt Smith for his first 3 episodes but he just annoyed me, as for Peter Capaldi, he seems boring.

Why does this make you angry? We white people have pretended for centuries that Jesus was white, which is absolute nonsense. Now one TV episode says in a half-joking way that Jesus was "a bit more black than they show in the movies" and you're crying. What is going on with you people? Also, I stated that there may not have been as many black people, but indeed many people of color, because the South Asian population in London in the early 19th century was considerable, especially among the poor population which we see a lot of in this episode.

Man, there are always crazy people in each movement. I'm sure there are somewhere some mad people who say that white people should be killed. But they are a minority in a minority of diverse political how claim to be left. Why do you focus on them instead of discussing serious left proposals? Finally: It disturbs me that you imply to be proud of the founding of nations like the US and Australia. Of course they were founded by white people, I never wanted to state anything else. I'm not a native speaker, so maybe I expressed myself wrongly. What I wanted say was: White people founded these nations and in the process millions of people of color were killed. And this is not something that I, as a white person, can ever be proud of. And I find it disturbing if you can.
