Most of them are miniseries. The incorrect movie entries will be deleted at an undetermined date in the future.

I wanted to reach out to kindly request you to reconsider this move of recategorization and roll back this somewhat recent change. I understand your sincere well-placed intent of maintaining stringent technical correctness for historical purposes in basing this decision on one of the film's original presentation formats. However, the timing you chose to apply this change in categorization has now created issues for many Anne fans worldwide. The Anne series recently was recently released onto Blu-ray, a long-awaited release for Anne fans worldwide, and only more recently has broadened its home media circulation to big box retailers such as Walmart. In the past, when these movies were on DVD, we were able to scrape all four of these films in Kodi, Plex, and other software together in sequence since all four movies were together under the same umbrella of the movie category. Fast forwarding to today, as us Anne fans have been refreshing our media with the newly released HD versions of the same movies, now all three films except for Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story are detected as movies.

This situation presents a unique dilemma for Anne fans from a metadata scraping perspective as it breaks the series' continuity. This means that The Continuing Story is no longer neatly scraped into our collections, requiring either substantial manual entry or otherwise segregating one of our four beloved films from the other three in a far-removed TV category. And in the case of Plex, this issue is completely unfixable since actor information cannot be entered even manually if we do opt to include it together with the other three films by manually entering it in the movie category with the others. I would also add that even Sullivan Entertainment themselves, the production company of this film series, appears to officially refer to all four entries in the Anne series as movies too and not strictly as TV miniseries content (https://www.anneofgreengables.com/films). Therefore, given the foregoing, I would strongly suggest rolling back The Continuing Story to the movie category, not a TV miniseries as you had recently redefined it.

Regards,

An Anne Fan
