I just finished watching S3 on Hulu. The final few episode were good but the finale made me so mad because one of my most favorite characters was killed.
I sort of lost interest when they decided to reinvent the show as something different, when a show comes back with different characters, a different premise and a spangly (Look we're different now) intro sequence it doesn't convince viewers that have left to come back to it. Surely people learned that from Seaquest DSV?
If you want to bring back viewers bring back good writing, TV shows are not sports teams - they do not have brand loyal fans who will accept new players, uniforms and logos after a bad year.
I have always watched due mostly to the fact that there isn't much else during these summer months. It has been a reliable mix of good and bad. I was skeptical of the new format but liked it for the most part. The insanely predictable leadership intrigue coupled with some low tier acting nearly threw me from the bull. But as usual, there was something to keep me entertained.
It is a C+ show that I somehow cannot drop.
I'm glad there is more coming. This delay made me wonder about cancellation.

I might watch, but with my favorite characters gone, I'm not sure.

show was picked up for seasons 4 and 5 already. Season 4 starts in a couple weeks.
