Suzanne Kramer is send to women's prison "De Banckert" after an attempted murder of her husband. Suzanne ends up in a hard and raw world, where two women, Lex and Freddy would hold sway. Suzanne is forced to choose a side, but this is not without major consequences. Will she end up chosing the right one?

After Annet's tragic death, Altan threatens Dorien. Suzanne tries to contact Noortje.

Suus gets caught in between rivals, Lex and Freddy. Erika tries to get the support of the jailers, but they are not happy with her choices.

Ronny forces her young daughter, Amy, to smuggle heroin into the prison, but when Amy goes into cardiac arrest, Ronny is harassed by the other women. Lies begins drinking methylated spirits and collapses when Dorien puts bleach in it. Dorien is offered the peer worker job after Lies is fired. Suus, Boomer, Freddy and Lies discuss masturbation.

Suus feels threatened when Erik says he may not be able to deal with their daughter any longer. Suus asks Altan for help to contact Noortje. Vera tries to impress Beer but failed, because Vera's mother reveals an embarrassing secret in front of her colleagues.

Three weeks after being attacked, Suus is in her element. Erica is wary that the rivalry for top dog now consists of Freddy, Lex and Suus. Lex is told that she should go into protection for the rest of her stay. Altan is blackmailed by Lex as she has photos of him with a drug dealer. Vera brings arthritis painkillers into the prison for Lex after it is revealed Vera began the riot that killed Annet by telling Lex to start it. After Suus is informed of Noortje's death, she - along with Lies and Dorien - has to argue with Erica about whether she can go to her daughter's funeral or not. After being told she can go, Suus is left heartbroken when permission is revoked and she tries to hang herself.

It finally becomes clear who committed the murder of Annet . Suus confronts the killer of Noor, which has dangerous consequences for her.

Three months after the death of Lex Holt an impressive new warden arrives. She immediately creates enemies by supressing Freddy's drug traffic.

Erik seeks revenge on Dylan Holt. Does he dare to persevere? Lies tries to save a new detainee as Freddy discovers that she still has a scoop of heroin in her body.

When Fat Tanja, a friend of the Holt family returns to "De Banckert" Suus realizes that this offers opportunities to lure the killer of her daughter to jail.

Tanja warns Suus that the Holts are preparing an attack on her. With the arrival of three new inmates Suus feel insecure and threatened. She asks Freddy for a weapon.

When Suus finds out that Tanja's daughter is working for the Holt family, she uses this information to turn Tanja against the family. In the meantime Freddy tries to win Maxine over to her team.

Tanja struggles with the Holts assignment to murder Suus. Lies faces a major dilemma: betray Freddy or remain faithful to her?

Brinkhorst retaliates for drug trafficking through the garden project and tells Vera to find out who is responsible.

When Brinkhorst briefs Freddy about the snitch in her crew, a lonely and paranoid Freddy tries everything to unmask her.

After the results of the lab indicate that Dorien is pregnant, Brinkhorst threatens to decline Cas' parole. Maxine wins a place in Freddy's crew in a special way.

Lies is finally released and attempts to contact her estranged children, but her reintroduction to life outside is far from easy. Added to her troubles is Boomer's lust for revenge, which will not stop at the walls of the Banckert.

The arrival of a new prisoner that Brinkhorst knows from another prison, gives "Beer" hope to expose the warden. The tension between Suus and Freddy reaches a new level.

Altan tries to find Suus, who seeks revenge and goes into hiding with Lies. Lies is in doubt wether or not she should help Suus
