Extra Details: Would be great if Season 1 could be split into its (five) sagas (God of Destruction Beerus Saga, Golden Frieza Saga, Universe 6 Saga, Future Trunks Saga, Universe Survival Saga), like it's already been done for Dragon Ball Z.

Dragon Ball Super was originally bradcasted in Japan as one single season. The listing is correct.
If you want another split, you can use an episode group.
Concerning Dragon Ball Z, as already indicated in multiple reports, the different seasons will be merged in a single one to match the original Japanese broadcast.
Sagas aren't seasons.
