Y'all are not the only ones. This season has been so convoluted, and the explanation of all of the different agencies/terrorist groups left me more confused. This ending seemed anti-climatic and it's not even the season finale. I don't understand why this part of the storyline wasn't wrapped up at the winter finale, then go into this new storyline. I'm not sure how many episodes are left for this season, but I feel like this new arc is probably going to feel rushed.
I came here just to say..im not feeling this season..then i see this post..so glad im not the only one confused..s1 was epic and easy to follow..im glad it looks like they are bringing Caleb back..he was my fav character (along with Simon) in s1. Maybe that's what this season was missing..ok..this season is missing a lot lol..
Can someone just tell me one thing....who is good and who is bad? Cuz at this point..I have no idea lol.
I just caught up last night. I thought my confusion mostly stemmed from the two-month break from November to January, but I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who was confused. I have several questions after the latest mid-season finale.
Was Lydia running sanctioned ops or was she a traitor working to undermine the CIA?
Was the Citizens Liberation Front the group being investigated as the "AIC," or were they a separate outside group trying to expose an unsanctioned "AIC" operating within the CIA?
Did Jeremy Miller found the Citizens Liberation Front with the assistance of ranking CIA officials and Miranda, or did he go to Miranda and the CIA officials to try to stop what the Citizens Liberation Front was planning.
Was Dayana a pawn in Lydia's plan, blindly following Lydia's orders, or was she actively part of the AIC and/or Citizens Liberation Front?
What happened with Lydia? Did our protagonists arrest her for treason? It felt like they just let her go because her goal was accomplished and they couldn't do anything about it.
Finally, I didn't follow the whole story with Harry Doyle. Were Charlotte, the handler, and Pip related to Sir Lawrence Bishop and Harry's "friend" Elliot? When Harry couldn't find anything to incriminate Sir Bishop, he said something to Pip about "your father is a good man." For a moment, I had a thought that Harry's confession to Sebastian was false - that Elliot had faked his death and that "Pip" was Harry's nickname for Elliot, but I don't think they ever returned to that part of the plot.
Maybe some other viewers followed all the AIC/Citizens Liberation Front better than I did, but "convoluted" is exactly the word I was thinking when all the reveals were being explained in episode 02-13.
I forgot about the twins. I didn't keep track of which was the hostage/translator at the summit and which was in part of the Citizens Liberation Front wearing tactical gear. Which was Shelby's handler and working with Leon? Which did Shelby end up taking into custody along with Miranda at the end, and which was part of the President's new special task force at the end of the last episode?
I can't answer much of those questions are they are pretty much the same ones I have! But with the Harry story line my understanding is that Pip and Elliot were brothers. Elliot and Harry were in love but his father, Sir Lawrence couldn't handle that his son was gay and threatened to cut him off. Elliot coming from privilege couldn't be without money so he did as his father wished and then married (or maybe just got engaged) to a woman. Elliot committed suicide because he felt his life was a lie. Harry and Pip blame Sir Lawrence and try to take him down, but Harry can't find the "dirt" on him.
Last night's episode was as absurd as ever. I don't know why I keep waiting for this show to get better. Might as well just turn off the sound and watch the beautiful people being beautiful.

I tried watching it first ep back from it's break (when they started whatever their new mission is) --- I just couldnt ... I'll just read recaps
Yeah last weeks episode started by getting rid of the flashbacks, but it still was the same old thing. They have to infuriate a party and get entail on people, I guess the difference is it's actually real and not a training session. I haven't watched the latest episode yet, but by yall's reaction I'm in no rush or just might let it go altogether. I want to at least finish the season and just not watch next season (if that's even gonna happen). The show is not helping with holding my interest.
Ya i really enjoyed the first season but this season's been a utter disappointment..then they tease Caleb's return..but it was his brother instead. And clearly they were just teasing otherwise they would have said who it was and not just refer to him as "my son".

I kind of figured they were going to do the switcharoo on us with Caleb and his brother. From last weeks episode, it looked like they were trying to build sexual tension between Shelby and the brother, smh.

I reckon the writers have tied themselves in knots.
