Since we see him talking to Will Bowman on the preview for next week, I assume he saw through the Governor General's weak denial that anything was wrong. Wonder how he knows a way of getting in touch with Will? Could he have found out where Broussard was hiding and covered up the information? He's got to be thinking in terms of getting his daughter out of the bloc. I hope he gets out too, Snyder is one of the show's more interesting characters and it would suck to lose him.

I hate that the "bold" and "Italics" features don't ALWAYS work here.

What I meant was that I think whatever promises the Raps made then, Snyder understood how bad the situation was. He thought he could ameliorate the situation in his bloc by tamping down resistors who, let's be honest, were not acting in their best interests by making it known that they would never go along. Yes, I think he's shocked that it's come to this, who wouldn't be, but he always knew this was a good possibility and had already seen Dallas leveled for too many resistors inside their bloc. If there was too much trouble in your bloc, it was gone As for life outside the bloc, did anyone on the inside care about what the Raps were doing with them? Only collaborators were on the inside, or people that the Raps imagined would collaborate because they knew death was close if they didn't.. I think the only masses that could rise up effectively against being wiped out would be the people on the outside who always understood that no one gave a crap about their death. Sure, the people inside the block are in shock as it falls apart, but I think Snyder and those stuck on the outside always understood that their death is a moment away. I really can't say what Snyder will do right now.

There's a space between the double asterisk and the I in that sentence. Try putting the space between the period and the asterisks, and leaving no space before the I. See if that works.

But this is happening globally. LA was going to be emptied out in two years anyway. All the resistance activity, of which the green zone attack was the last straw, only accelerated the timetable. It didn't alter the end result. What Snyder's starting to realize is that the raps have no intention of leaving any humans alive, anywhere, and they never did. Everything they've promised to the contrary is a deception intended to keep people calm. Just like the Nazis assured the ghetto population they were being confined and that's all, so they wouldn't panic while there were still enough of them left to be a problem if they did.

So you're guessing that there is nowhere for Snyder to fit in with the Rap administration anywhere and he'll be forced to flee and fight? My poor Snyder, I don't know if he can handle that!

I doubt they're going to send him outside the wall to fight with WIll and Broussard. Charging in with guns blazing, not really his thing. In his old job he honestly believed that the only path to survival for humanity was to be nice compliant sheep - and if one Alan Snyder just so happened to be in a better position than most in the new order, so be it. He's never been a genuinely bad guy. Crooked yes, but not evil. Now he's faced with the knowledge that the human race can't survive through compliance, that there won't be a future for anyone unless they fight and win. I think he'll form a partnership with the resistance (look for Broussard to be less than thrilled) and become an agent within the occupation. Basically what Will tried to do, only at a higher level.

If he makes it through this still working in some capacity for the Raps, I will be happy. But if they turn up the heat and he becomes somewhat "more compliant" than we would have expected, I'll understand. Let's just hope he makes it through the finale.

WARNING!!FINALE EPISODE SPOILERS!!
...And it still was not mentioned. Is Bram a big idiot like I think he is? Why did he yell, " I'm not going anywhere with him!!" Snyder saved your life and brought you home! I thought Snyder would say to Will 'Trust me, I saved your son' when he was trying to convince Will and Broussard to trust/believe he wanted to go with them.
I did not feel bad for Maddie at all.
What was that device Snyder had and pushed the red button on?
Did you think it was a good finale?

I didn't even get to see the finale yet, not 'til tonight. But I couldn't stand it, so I checked out a few different pages to get a synopsis of what happened. Damn, Snyder really Snydered out last night. I guess we never really got to see Bram admit that Snyder saved him because he didn't, but that just goes to show that even the best laid plans of Snyder have room to go awry. If I understand right, Bram turning on him was a tense moment for Snyder, who thinks on his feet so well that I'm guessing it's a great moment and adds to the tension of what may happen. And Bram is smart enough to realize how smarmy Snyder was in turning him against the other resistance while in the camp. Bram's got his number. I can't wait to see it. More spoilers if you have them.

Hi
@ Kathy.
The synopsis probably reads much better than I could explain. I didn't want to spoil too much ( too bad no spoiler tags here yet) , I just wanted Chrisjdel's thoughts, I enjoy reading his take on things. I just don't understand Bram, he acts so stupid to me and is always pouty, (baby brother Charlie acts way more mature and able to handle situations better than he does) even if Snyder is swarmy, the fact is he still saved his life.
I didn't think the finale was really all that exciting, but I enjoyed it anyways

We wouldn't expect it, but maybe down the road Snyder will save Bram yet again when he gets between a rock and a hard place. They must have something in mind. Maybe ChrisJ hasn't seen the finale yet either. Lots of people don't watch live anymore. I wonder what it will look like knowing most of what's gonna happen anyway. From what you saw, do you think Broussard's coming back?

Maybe so, but as you can see it really bugged me that something so important hasn't been mentioned.
True. I guess I am still getting un- used to IMDB ( those basturds!)where many people had already been discussing overnight/while a show was being aired.
I hope so, I really like him and Will fighting together.
I'd be interested in knowing what you think after you have watched too.

This isn't a brand new thread, I started it last week. But I have to say Snyder disappointed me. I thought he got it. Would knowing what the gauntlet is going to be used for change his mind, I wonder? If he knew there was a real chance of turning the tide against the raps would he chuck that tracking device out the window or is protecting his own ass the only thing that really matters to him? We'll have to wait until next year to find out. Yes, I hope Broussard re-connects with Will and the others at some point. They make an effective team!

It's only the second season. I'm sure they have a lot of twists and turns coming with Snyder. As for the annoying Bram, I think Snyder may have kept quiet about him because seeing that he can be manipulated under duress may come in handy later on and that's enough. Bram doesn't want anyone to know what he did in the camp with Snyder because, truthfully, he acted like a shit and ultimately did what would save his own skin when you think about it. Mightn't he cave in again sometime? I can't believe it's another year 'til we know, that's becoming old school I think.
