Yeah. If you pay attention, throughout the whole episode, Aunt Amy is the only one who speaks contrary to Anthony. Even though Anthony wiped out her mind, she complains about the weather.
that episode is available in so many versions, it was one of the tales remade in the twilight zone 1983 movie, and mike starr is hilarious in it at twilight zone radio drama, and wasn't it also remade in one of the resurrected twilight zone series. anyway, the people i listened to the radio version with thought that episode ended very abruptly without the usual conclusion, and i really agree, i can't remember how the tv episode ended, but the version in the 1983 movie kind of like summed it up i thought. anyway, i have to say, that i just love anthony, isn't that right? don't we all just love anthony? he killed off half the crops... but.. its good that he did that. he's a good boy.
set to let you loose,
as you built me up,
worked with effect into the heart,
until it danced to your tune,
like the wind spun me around,
till i got weak and you controlled my mind.
The original TV episode ended with Anthony making it snow after sending the jack-in-the-box to the cornfield. Anthony's father is about to yell at him because the snow will kill their crops, but he catches himself and starts to think good thoughts. He and his wife hug each other saying over and over how good Anthony is, but you can see that they're on the verge of breaking down and crying.
He is only a kid, but a kid with godlike powers and no responsibility. This is scary
Kids sleep a lot. They should have murdered him in his sleep.
If you look closely at the episode, the aunt attempts to kill him, but one of the men stop her.
The parents wanted him dead but they were not able to do it. It was their responsibility and they have blood on their hands. Millions of lives were lost

I hadn't noticed how Aunt Amy's hand reached out to pick up the poker until the last time I watched the episode. And it was done in a subtle way.

Yeah, it's really sad how Cloris Leachman was so scared that Anthony would hear what Aunt Amy was saying .
