This weeks episode could certainly be seen as one. Wars over. Protomolecule missiles blown up. UN secretary under arrest. IO lab no longer. Kids safe. I mean... where do we go from here?
Sure there is this large metallic sphere rising up from Venus that was built by the whatever that controls the protomolecule but...

Yeah this is actually the end of second book, like S2E5 was the ending of the first book, therea are currently 7 books in the series with 2 more scheduled to come out in december 2018 and probably december 2019. The only problem is if someone is picking this up to continue it; if not I strongly suggest you to read the books.

Since the series is cancelled - maybe a movie to articulate just how much there universe has changed, by how much the bridge changes everything.

IMDB did say "a three season scifi show..." so that gave me a hint season 3 would be the last. But your comment is the first word I have heard on it being cancelled.
