The disjointed way Miller was speaking/trying to communicate reminded me of Kaota when he was in that chamber. Kaoto was talking and Dr. Strickland and Mao questioning him and trying to figure out what his stop-start-jumbled comments were all about. Miller spoke that same way—as if he was trying to express the thoughts of someone who was still learning someone else’s language.
As for Holden making the connection, I think asking Alex to point them toward that body-shredding Ring is a good indication that he is aware of the link.
