Discuss Star Trek: The Next Generation

Thoughts? Would that have helped DS9? Should some DS9 characters have been in INSURRECTION or FIRST CONTACT?

IMHO, yes. I love crossovers. However, I don't feel DS9 needed help.

It might have been interesting for some of the Maquis episodes, as both Picard and Sisko had dealings with them.

And I'd have liked to have seen Picard and Sisko have to work together given Sisko's disdain for Picard. It would have been interesting to see them interact again with Picard as a Captain, and Sisko as a Commander. And then after Sisko got promoted to Captain. Could have had some interesting stories there.

Yes I would have liked captain crossovers. I loved the Generations movie because of the Kirk-Picard moments.

The Changeling Invasion was such a threat to the Federation that you'd think Picard would have been involved in the fighting somewhere, and at a high leverl. But of course the writers would have wanted Sisko and his crew to be the heroes, not Picard.

It might have been interesting if a couple other DS9 characters had joined in too, but Worf and the Defiant were in First Contact. Worf was stationed on DS9 at that time, and regularly commanded the Defiant on missions.
