Chronological Order (Story Arc)
5 Groups, 65 Episodes
This 'episode order' puts the Bonkers episodes in chronological order as much as possible so that there aren't as many unxplained changes with the main characters season-to-season. Bonkers' episode production and airdate orders are, well, absolutely Bonkers! They don't really make a lot of sense if you watch the series in production order, airdate order, nor the order found on Disney Plus. This is because there were actually two completely different versions of the show developed in parallel: one where Bonkers is partnered with Lucky Piquel, and one where he's partnered with Miranda Wright. While the Miranda episodes were actually produced first, the second set of "Miranda" episodes was aired after the first set of "Lucky" episodes. The series pilot, which covers the story of Bonkers going from TV star to cop, was also aired in the middle of the first Lucky set just to add to the timeline confusion. Piror to airing the first set of "Miranda" episodes (which were actually the second set produced) Disney released a "crossover" episode between the two versions of the show called "New Partners on the Block" in which Bonkers is assigned Miranda as his new partner in order to give the sudden partner changesan in-universe explanation. After Set 2 of the Miranda episodes concluded, Disney aried the second set of Lucky episodes, again without any explanation to the sudden change-back. Following set 2 of the Lucky episodes, set 1 of the Miranda episodes was finally aired, again with no in-show explanation of the changes. Interspersed in these 4 sets of episodes were also some 'toon compliation' episodes of Bonkers' various work as a TV star (which chronologically take place before he becomes a cop in the pilot.) These discrepancies were mostly fixed in international syndication, where they aired the episodes "out of order", airing all of the Lucky episodes first (starting with the pilot), then "New Partners on the Block", then all of the Miranda episodes. This series order mostly follows that, but uses production order where possible. It goes: "Toon" compliation episodes -> Pilot -> Lucky Set 1 -> Lucky Set 2 -> Miranda Set 1 (starting with "New Partners on the Block") -> Miranda Set 2.
