When William visited to give his respect at the location where Randall's adopted dad's ashes were spread. At the end, before he got up from the bench...William nodded and he said "yeah, cool", as if he acknowledged something that was spiritually communicated to him. I wonder what that was.
Did anyone else catch that?

I'm watching it now .... I think William may have been responding to his own words: "I would have liked to have met my son's father." I think the "Yeah. cool." was him acknowledging the reality that Jack was Randall's dad. I could be wrong - I watch this show, pretty much, through tears.

Join the club. You ain't the only one. 😢ðŸ˜
You could be right with that. I'd like to think though that because William was so close to death...closer than the audience knew or anticipated, that he was spiritually open to Randall's dad and anything that he may have wanted to share...man to man or father to father.
I know, I'm a big emotional wuss when it comes to this show. 😢 And overall, in life...I'm a huge optimists.

This is a good observation! I thought he was joking when he said he liked him but.. it's completely possible that there was some sort of communication there. .

Do we know where his ashes were spread? Just wondering because they stopped after seeing the Peabody sign which I assume would be close to Memphis.

Yes he did. But that was after his father to father chat with Jack.
