We all know that Randall lives in a very upscale, lovely area so I was taken aback when Trenton was stated. I've never been to NJ and my only knowledge of Trenton is from the Janet Evanovich novels (Stephanie Plum series) about a female bail bonds agent. I've read 10 of these books and the city actually seems like a character to me in the way it is described. However, Evanovich never mentions any upscale areas within the city. She describes it as full of aging mobsters. Her heroine has had her car blown up more than once, has been shot at several times, her apartment invaded more than once. Hmmm... I think it's safe to say that Randall lives on the good side of the tracks or maybe up in the hills (if there are hills). Of course, I'm sure the author is just employing artistic license.
Based on the postcard William sends Beth, they live in Alpine, NJ - which is part of Bergen County. I'll have to rewatch to see what they were mentioning about Trenton, but maybe that was where Beth was trying to save the park?

You are eagle-eyed, LovesShoes! Thanks for sharing that. I looked up Alpine, NJ and Business Insider says that it is the most prestigious zip code in the U.S. I'm so relieved for Randall that he's not living near any aging mobsters ;)
Let us know if you figure out what the reference to Trenton was about. Could be the park.
I can't take credit - I had seen an article about where they lived; and honestly it probably only caught my attention because I live in Jersey. I'll have to rewatch part of the episode to see what was mentioned about Trenton. If I see something I'll let you know :)
