I like this show too and the fact that the writers are taking their time with the characterizations. I was hoping that Nova's cop boyfriend would make an appearance this season but so far no show.

Me too! I was waiting to see what happened to the cop, especially after the bar scene. What also strikes me as odd is that no one seems to know about Nova and the cop. As small as that town seems to be, you would think the news would spread.

By the way, I like the cop. He plays Eric Brady on Days of Our Lives.

I looked him up on IMDB (Greg Vaughan). Apparently, he was on General Hospital too. Well, I guess we'll just have to throw ourselves into Nova's new love interest, Dr Robert Dubois. Actually, they have major chemistry. I'm forgetting about Calvin already :)

I like him too, but there is a problem w/Nova's bed hopping. This has to come full-circle -- w/Calvin's character and sleeping with **all **these white men. I think once Robert, a black activist, finds out about all of this, he'll have a problem. It's funny. She sleeps w/only white men and black women.

I'm saying this, because this is a racially charged show. Nova deals w/racism a lot, and I'm sure she has a lot of pro-Black followers. Her little secret will eventually come out. I think Calvin will re-appear, and that will cause some friction.

I think I might have missed an episode. Did they ever show what happened after her disastrous date w/Calvin at the bar?

Poetist: I had to find a recap of the season 1 finale to refresh my memory. The altercation in the bar appears in the finale ep isode. So, it's clearly unresolved and why I found it so confusing when Calvin didn't appear n this latest season. I did look up some more info on Greg Vaughan and it stated that his contract with Days gives him the option for time off to shoot on Queen Sugar if need be. So, maybe he will reappear. That would make for good conflict; however, I think Nova may have met her match with Dr. Dubois. It's looking promising, so who needs ol' Calvin.

I have to laugh. I had completely forgotten about Nova's dip in the lady pond.

We need Calvin for conflict. There can't be smooth sailing in a drama. Plus, I don't want to watch a show that drops storylines.

Yeah, Nova is all over the place. Don't forget she was/is a weed seller. I wonder does her family have a clue of what she does.
