The Blacklist: Redemption Cancelled at NBC After One Season
The Blacklist: Ryan Eggold to Rejoin NBC Series After Redemption Cancellation
Doggoneit...I had the feeling both wouldn't survive, but one would. If The Blacklist was cancelled I feel they would have folded story elements/characters into the spinoff, and vice versa. Well the Blacklist was renewed, so...
What's interesting is I like the characters on the spinoff a bit more than the parent show. Especially resident hacker Dumont. Maybe I'm just experiencing burnout from the Task Force but with the exception of Cooper I wouldn't mind seeing none of them ever again. But instead we'll see them for another year and we'll be lucky if we even get offhand remarks on the current status of Dumont and Nez. Solomon I'm sure will pop up from time to time since he's back to full-fledged villain status, so that leaves Scotty.
Since Tom is rejoining the parent show, I'm sure we'll get an episode, heck maybe two, resolving her being in jail/prison, and Howard exposed.
The thing is, though...I remember Red's warning to Tom: Don't trust Scotty. Is that suddenly false, which would be unlike Red, or does it hold true but people don't want to accept that cause Howard seems to be a bigger bas_ard? I'm of the mind both of Tom's parents ain't ish, we just like Scotty. lol Its like Red all over again, times two. We forget he's not really a nice person cause he has witty fortune cookie advice and is charming.
Ah well. I wish we could have gotten 4-5 seasons out of this.

I was surprised...at the cancellation but also how much I liked the show. The characters and the stories were fresh. I especially liked the one about the fake American civilization in Russia. I hope we do see characters from this show pop up on the Blacklist, and hear about some story lines. I agree Solomon will show up. He's a guy you love to hate. And I want to know how evil Howard really is, and how "innocent" Scottie really is.
Too bad, too bad.
