In an alternate universe, Rhett and Link never met as kids and thus never became the YouTube stars we know today. Link is fired from his job and evicted from his home, and meets a quirky guy named Rhett who is looking for a roomie.

Feeling the urge to become a family man, Link decides to date Vanessa. Meanwhile, Rhett uses a virtual reality game to become his best self -- an overweight middle aged housewife.

A spat about a remote control leads Rhett and Link to give each other the silent treatment, which becomes their ticket to fame and fortune.

Rhett and Link go their separate ways to achieve their ultimate destinies, both of which are pretty insane.
