Kyon and Yuki visit the library in order to study for their final exams. Although Kyon was hoping to get Yuki’s help with his studying, she becomes so fixated on books that she ends up forgetting why they are there in the first place.

Kyon plans to do his summer homework, but Haruhi constantly talks him and others into doing various leisure activities, like visiting a water park, attending Bon festival, stargazing, fishing, and going on a movie marathon. Eventually, they all gather at Kyon's place at the last moment to do their homework but end up playing cards and video games instead.
