Discuss Marvel's Inhumans

Its like with the Western. First had the movies. Then Tv came along and became over saturated with westerns. By the 70's people were sick to death with Western. I mean its one thing to have 3 to 5 Superhero movies in one year. But adding about 20 to 30 on going low budget TV Shows is just asking for trouble. Frankly i don't like Superheros on Tv. They either try to take it seriously while keeping all the more fantastic elements on a low budget and it comes off as silly and stupid (aka all the CW Shows). Or either try to take it seriously while ignore the fantastical elements (The Christopher Nolan route) and it becomes a boring soap opera. (aka Netflix Shows).

Traditional "Westerns" evolved and to a certain extent "Non"-Traditional westerns are still being made but aren't period pieces any more. Star Wars and Outland were Sci-Fi versions of Westerns. Guardians of the Galaxy, Firefly are Space westerns also.

Marvel's superhero fare has been successful by acknowledging that Superheroes are not a genre but a cast of characters that can be used to tell any story across any genre.

I've gone over this before in other CBM threads (with numbers). Westerns haven't gone. Hollywood makes the same amount of Westerns each year as comic book movies. So you could say they've already have gone the way of the Westerns from the start. What will cause CBMs to go out will be because they will lose their reputation for quality if they keep making crap shows like this series, Iron Fist, and the majority of WB CBMs (as well as some of those created by FOX). Besides, The Inhumans comics were never really superhero comics and more like a sci-fi/fantasy drama with powers. How many sci-fi/fantasy dramas have that? Pretty much all of them.
