Was shocked to see Molly Ringwald as Archie's mom tonight. I had no clue she was going to be in the series.
Veronica & Cheryl's cheerleader dance were both GREAT! Loved it! And they both seemed to be doing their own moves.
Aside from all the main plots being shown, I think my favorite plot of all is what's going on between Kevin & his street gang boy friend. I'm wondering how it's going to end.

Ah, Kevin and Joaquin. I'd lay money that's going to end very badly for Kevin. Joaquin is using him to get info for FP.
I knew Molly Ringwald was going to be Archie's mother, so no shock for me, but I do like them using teen stars from the Eighties to play the parents, and Ringwald is the perfect choice, right down to the hair.
I had a strong bias against Jughead before this show started, never liked that character at all, but I was slowly warming to him. Last night's ham-handed writing in that speech he gave has made me really not like him again. Too bad they can't kill that character off entirely, but he's too much a part of the Archie comics to do that. Here's hoping that Betty someday figures out she can do much, much better.
All the secrets came out last night, and wasn't it great when Veronica openly suggested that Cheryl had inappropriate feelings for her brother? Because that's what the entire audience has been thinking from the pilot. And Cheryl, in great form, calling Doyle a sociopath. That was fun.
I don't know if anyone here follows Lili on Twitter, but she had a good one last night:
It was an extremely sexy episode. Veronica was on fire last night. There were a lot of important plot points too. Lastly, how weird was that rendition of Happy Birthday by Betty?
I think Joaquin got into it for the wrong reasons but is actually falling for Kevin, and yes, it will likely end badly and Kevin will have a different boyfriend for Season 2. I for one will be disappointed if Jason was killed by someone's henchman. This has always felt like a crime of passion.
I'd have voted for Cheryl. I feel bad for her, even though she's kind of awful. It's that hair, honestly. I can't say no to it. Right now, I'm all about Cheryl. I'm hoping that the writers give her character a bit of stability, though, because right now she's kind of all over the place. Over on reddit, someone suggested that she's trying to figure out who she is without Jason, and I hope that's what's going on.
I do wonder what her relationship with Veronica is going to be like now. Ronnie was about the only person she was close to at all.
That's a really good point that people need to give her a pass for at least a year while she is grieving. Then they can decide if she is worth the effort.
I thought Veronica's dance was amazingly hot. Cheryl's was pretty, and if she were up against anyone but Veronica she would have nailed it. But Cheryl's moves were graceful and poetic where Veronica's were raw and uninhibited. I wonder if it is a glimpse at their inner characters. That Cheryl prides herself on being fire and Veronica on being ice, when really it is the other way around.

Next week's episode sure looks creepy, though.
