Who killed Jason?

Since we have time... I'll start this off.
Archie: Very unlikely. It's not impossible, but he hasn't much of a motive. Yes, he got to take Jason's spot on the team, but at the time he seemed far more into Miss Grundy than football. Plus he'd need intimate knowledge the Blossom twins' plans to pull this off with Miss Grundy as his alibi, and he doesn't seem that interested in either one of them.
Betty: Possible. Dark Betty had the motive, means, and opportunity. The only thing clearing her is that she is one of the iconic main characters, so I don't think they are going to break up the set first season.
Veronica: Please. She wasn't even in Riverdale at the time of the murder.

I'm thinking one of the parents. My current guess is Mr. or Mrs. Cooper. Almost every other character only has one parent in Riverdale so one Cooper is expendable. They also have a lot of motives based on Polly pregnancy and the long family feud with the Blossoms.

Jughead: Possible but not likely, again because he's a major character. Was already brought in as a suspect.
Cheryl: Prime suspect. Best motive, means, and opportunity. However, seemed genuinely shocked and gutted by Jason's death. Hope its not her so she can come back next season.
Reggie: Hmmm....
Chuck: Hmmm....
Moose: Not likely. (Unless Jason made out with Midge) Why lead the police to the body?
Kevin: Would certainly be a twist but again, not likely.

That is an excellent point. I would bet on the father.
Motives
Cooper - Polly's pregnancy, feud with the Blossoms. (Mental illness clearly runs in that family.)
Blossom - Polly's pregnancy, Jason's drug dealing. (Crazy parents decided to off him before he could tarnish his golden boy image and ruin the family name)
Lodge - Hiram's incarceration, profit. (See Jones)
Jones - Murder for hire. Drug deal gone bad. (I'm betting Juggy's dad has something to do with it and knows who the real killer is)
Doiley - Bullying? (Hey, don't laugh. If this show was inspired by the faux trailer on youtube, Dilton might have spotted a half-drown Jason and snapped)
(Can't really think of another family with a reason to kidnap, torture and murder a Blossom, including the Andrews')

Mädchen Amick might have committed to the new Twin Peaks so if unavailable for Season 2 is the perfect killer. I hope not as she adds a lot of spice to the show. Let it be the Dad. Didn't the Mom taunt him that he didn't have the guts? It's always the quiet ones.

Oh, and lets not forget Polly, though it would be difficult for her to torture and kill Jason while locked away. Still, it cannot be ruled out that Jason might have gotten cold feet, especially if it concerned abandoning his sister.
