Discuss FEUD

I'm really excited for this show. I'm a big Ryan Murphy fan, and I've really enjoyed what he's done with other series like American Horror Story and American Crime Story. I'm definitely looking forward to his next series here. I hope it is good.

I am so excited about this show, I sort of can't stand the wait. I have to say, I have enjoyed most of the seasons of AHS, but to be honest, I think the show just went downhill and it's no longer a "serious" horror show. It's alright, it doesn't take itself too seriously, but I feel that AHS has lost its touch. I am willing to give it a chance, because I have enjoyed 4 out of its 6 seasons and I still find it entertaining. I think "Feud" is probably more suitable with Ryan Murphy's style. I have just finished watching all the teasers and trailers and it seems like there's a lot of humor involved, and if placed properly, humor is a plus. I mean, this rivalry has to have a lot of funny moments. Also, judging from the trailer, it seems like there's going to be a lot of campiness, which fits the story.

I love both Susan and Jessica, I love "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" and I've been always curious about this rivalry between these two legendary actresses. In my opinion, they were both nasty... I mean, I like them as actresses, but from what I've read and the interviews I have seen, both Davis and Crawford seemed to be vicious old hags. But back to "Feud" now; like I said, it looks promising and I love both actresses, but I am a little bit disappointed in Susan's voice. It's too bad it doesn't sound more similar to Davis' distinctive voice.

Sarandon as Bette looks the weaker of the two actresses. She basically looks and sounds like herself, I too only hear Sarandon's voice. Playing 'Baby Jane' doesnt count because that's far easier to impersonate. I'm anxiously awaiting to see how Lange does as Crawford. These were 2 LEGENDS of the silver screen that fought back studios that chewed up and spit out their counterparts, of course they were vicious...they had to be to have life long careers. And they were no more vicious than the vile studio heads behind the scenes. Neither of them ever did anything that their male actor counterparts did (and still do). They look like they both had a helluva good time during their lives, Crawford especially.

Ohh, don't get me wrong, I actually like them a lot and I'm sure that a big part of their viciousness was somehow understandable. I'm not judging them and I haven't really read that much about their lives either. I have only seen that movie about Joan Crawford, which portrays her as a horrible woman, but several people claim that "Mommie Dearest" isn't exactly accurate, so...

She works for Joan, kind of her housekeeper slash assistant, played by the wonderful Jackie Hoffman.
