The Answer: None

Jessical Lange does a great job showing us the type of person that pursues a career in Hollywood. Shallow, selfish, narcissistic, self centered, assholes.

That scene where she's blaming Bette for being the root cause of her suffering, portrays a woman, who, has projected her fear, hate and anger towards the wrong object of obsession. For instance, she made living based on her beauty. She went into showbiz because she knew she was the HOTTEST fucking chick in the country. And, she was right. That broad was smoking hot. But hey, if you're going to make a living based on your looks, well, that living comes with conditions. And naïve little girls who think the world revolves around them, become like Joan fucking Crawford.

Hollywood didn't make her that way, like the show tries to portray. That's how those types of people who go into Hollywood, end up. And her story isn't unique or rare. Many girls who started off based on their beauty, always fall flat on their ass when they get older.

I live in L.A. and am well adjusted. My career is in marketing. The perception by many outsiders is that "Hollywood" is the acting profession only when really 95% is not. It's carpentry and construction, makeup and hair, transportation, catering, accounting, marketing, scoring, sound editing, secretarial, graphic design, VFX, extras ... etc. etc.

In re: to Joan Crawford, celebrity screws a lot of people up ... especially those with low self esteem and a bad childhood. Which is why most have therapists.
