Discuss Oasis

I don't like religious themed movies in which they preach for religion, like god's existence is a fact. Films like The Shack and similar. So how is Oasis in that area?

I didn't pick up on a serious religious theme at all in the pilot but it's hard to tell what's coming. The series revolves around a reverend after all. Without spoiling too much I would say it's more about how the environment forces you to look inside yourself and find out who you really are. Atone if you like.

I see, ok I'll take a look. Thanks

@D-magic Did you like the pilot? Any thoughts?

I watched it, it's not bad. I like the idea of settlements on another planets in sci-fi, it opens many possibilities and directions for the story to develop to. Oasis has more realistic and scientific approach, which I liked, although there are some questionable things in the show, like why the hell they don't have psychologist on the original team. Seems that such mission will require mental help for everybody involved. It's still too early to say how this will develop, but for the pilot episode this was not bad. The religious part was not that significant, this has more Solaris vibe than Christian preaching, although you never know where it will be taken next.
