I love the finale, but why do we have to wait until 2018.
One season = one year on cable programming with short episode orders. The problem is we're used to 22+ episodes that overlap with the following year with a three month gap between seasons. That's not in effect here. I'm just happy it was renewed.
By the way, is that Black drug dealer, Desna's doctor bf?
Yes. The look on Roller's and his brother's face was priceless.

I figured it was too good to be true for Desna.
Its like a John Wick scenario: EVERYONE is involved in the underworld in one way or another.
But one thing is certain: whatever deal he makes with Uncle Daddy will have the caveat of no retaliation ever happens to Desna.
Did she get rid of the new salon or not?
The implication is that she did, but I don't remember it being said outright. She tried to give ownership to her friends one by one, and one by one each replied no they'll stick with her.

See, this is like Good Times, they can't move on up, and I wonder why couldn't Desna have both shops? She wouldn't be the first person to own more than one business.

Yeah Good Times didn't move on up till the final episode (though personally all episodes after James died aren't canon to me. ).
To answer your question...shrugs Who knows. Guess they don't want things easy for Desna. We don't even have to see the shop to know its there, just mention it from time to time. Ah well.

I stopped watching when James died and needless to say, I didn't see the final episode. (Maybe, I saw an episode or two when Janet was on it)

I know. They mentioned about the money laundering, but it still doesn't make sense. As you said, she can still have it and all they would have to do is mention it.

If anything his [attempted] murder and subsequent captivity was the universe's form of karma to him. Both went completely over his head though.
