Extra Details: this synopsis maybe is official, i don't know but it's far from correct. This episode really is only about the funeral. Nothing about Sheldon leaving for school at all.
okay I checked on CBS website, and it's not official at all, don't know where it comes from, but it's incorrect.

Since the CBS one is not plot related, what would be a good plot overview? Would something like "The Cooper family grapples with the death of George Cooper Sr." work?

I’ve just now watched the final episode that just aired on Dutch television. And the synopsis for this episode should go there!
I think your suggestion for the synopsis would work for the second to last episode!
