I didn't check the quality of his stories. I just was interested that several former Star Trek participants ( Brannon Braga, Penny Johnson, Jonathan Frakes) were involved in ORVILLE.
Yes, quality is elusive. A lot of people hate the story about the Goo Monster that killed Tasha Yar, but the writer of that episode is renowned for having written the script for Hitchcock's PSYCHO.
Of course, his first name is just a cover for the fact that he's actually a Ferengi.
Hmm...he must be a time travelling Ferengi then because they are meant to be post-Encounter At Farpoint (Even though ENT had to so a little dance with them, AND THE BORG, for fan service).
I don't Theron would work with him ever again, she took a whole year off after his movie came out - I'm thinking disgusted with herself for being in it; she's an Oscar winner for goodness sake!

Now that's funny. Damn Ferengi have been infiltrating our society for decades now. Damon Wayans, Damon Runyon, Damon Dash. You'd think Ferengi would be more subtle.

I noticed the name Brannon Braga in the credits too. Didn't he work on Star Trek TNG and maybe some of the others?

@CharlesTheBold Yeah Brannnon Braga was a writer for TNG who eventually moved onto Voyager and Enterprise as both writer and producer for all three.
He's a mixed bag when it comes to his stories and there are extremes of both ends of the spectrum of quality spread throughout.

As long as next week's episode has better writing than Damon Lindelof I'll be as sound as a pound (Pre-Brexit).
