Well of course Earth didn't get destroyed. We all knew it wouldn't. Didn't we? At least, I knew it. Along with that it would be some kind of tear-jerker.
The space battles were... interesting... but I thought overdone. Too cartoony or something. Star Trek did a better job, even TOS but especially DS9 with the various Dominion battles etc. So did Babylon 5. Not so much ignoring of physics, inertia, zero gravity, no atmosphere for "dogfighting," and the other stuff overlooked by Orville, and Battlestar Galactica (both versions).
It turns out the blue versus pink eyes was just which were built before the "founders" were exterminated, and which after. Apparently we're supposed to believe that Isaac is the only Kaylon that was constructed after. Or one of a small number, anyway. Considering how long ago that apparently happened, it seems... very unlikely.

I didn't care for the 'battle' scenes either. It was too hard to figure out who was who. But I did like the Kaylons 'pig tails', those things were cool. And didn't someone here say that Tai & Isaac would save the day. But who could say no to that face. That kid is just adorable.

There were multiple smaller plot problems too. Such as, why didn't the other Kaylons on the ship know that Isaac had turned on them, before they were all taken out? And they apparently had remote control over Isaac so why not shut him down again? Is it credible that only "Primary" had that ability, and once its head was removed Isaac was free, forever? Unlikely.

I can see that. It would be likely that Primary was a control unit. True he was not likely the only one. But he could have been the only one on the expedition; or at least the only one on the Orville. Once he was out, Isaac had a window. Once he triggered the EMP, other Primaries could not take control of or deactivate him. While it would have been a good idea to say so, once Yaphit was able to reactivate him, he, or the Union, could have shielded him from control or even contact with other Kaylons.

It would be good if they provide some more details on that. Plus on why we've only seen one Kaylon who was built after the builders were exterminated: Isaac. If they Kaylons have outgrown their home world and need to spread out, that would require a greater number of blue-eye types than pink-eye. Yet there's only been one, so far.
