I've watched quite a few versions of Sherlock Holmes. Jeremy Brett was by far the best,
Brett brought such an energy to the part that is sorely missing in other adaptations.
Riveting....
I also loved Jeremy Brett in My Fair Lady.

I hate Sherlock and Elementary. Holmes doesn't belong in the present. I'm not sure why someone doesn't do a series close to the original source, like this one did. It would make a great FX or AMC show.

I totally agree, that the Jeremy Brett series is easily the best and most definitive. Brett's portrayal perfectly completely realizes the Sherlock Holmes character.
