I invite you to read this previous content report.

The Nevers Season 1 Part 2 episodes 7 to 12 will be Airing on Roku in Spring 2023.

So they will be getting an actual release, therefore not "Specials", so please amend your meta data accordingly.

Did you read our "Early cancellation" rule ?

Did you note that the episodes 7 to 12 offically part of season 1 are getting released (even though cancelled) on tubi and Roku. i.e not special episodes.

Only the sith deal in absolutes.

Yes, they will get a digital release. Consequently, the early cancellation rule apply and they should be listed as specials.

So Roku, unlike netflix counts as a digital release? Thats bloody stupid.

These episodes were produced as part 2 of season 1. They arent special episodes. Irrespective of where/how they are getting released.

What have this to do here ?

The episodes are getting a relase on Tubi (a television network) and Roku (a digital television network). So Netflix shows dont count as a digital release, but Roku does?

I am pointing out that according to your rules, the episodes 7 to 12 of season 1 of the Nevers will in fact be getting released. And therefore the current designation of "Specials" for these episodes is wrong.

I don't understand the link with Netflix here.

The "specials" designation have nothing to do with the facts that the episodes are broadcasted or not.

As per our rules, in case of an early cancellation, if the episodes are broadcasted digitally, they should be listed as specials.

These final episodes have been picked up by a different network for release. They arent specials!!!

Re: Clone Wars

And they werent broadcast digitally, they were broadcast live on TV. Yes they were cancelled by HBO after the 2nd part of season 1 was cancelled. But I dont see what that has to do with anything. Technically early cancellation and maybe according to a strict reading of your rules they count as "specials".

But episodes 7 to 12 were broadcast live on the air, so a different reading of your rules would dictate they are actual episodes. Written rules are to capture the most common scenarios, this is not a common scenario.

Therefore as a rule keeper you should alow some leeway for this unusual circumstances and in order to not have totally incorrect metadata on your site.

"Early Cancellation

When a television series is cancelled and prematurely pulled off the air before the end of a season, the first thing you should do is remove the air dates from any unaired episodes. These episodes might be burn off on the original network at a later date. If the remaining episodes are not broadcast on the original network and/or are only released digitally, they will be moved to the Specials. For examples see Powerless or Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23. "

These episodes were broadcast OTA on Tubi. End of discussion. Verdict: Not Specials

Tubi is a digital network. So, they should be in specials.

So all 12 episodes are going to be availabe on Tubi and Roku. But the last 6 episodes are "Specials".

Because that makes so much sense. And as far as I was aware they were boradcast over the air, I dont live in america so I cant say if Tubi is an actual chanel or not but someone posted the air dates on a reddit thread:

They probably did release the episodes but you had to catch them live since they aren't on demand.
